CVE-2023-42065: 
PDF-XChange Editor vulnerability analysis and mitigation

CVE-2023-42065 is a vulnerability in PDF-XChange Editor that allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information. The vulnerability was discovered by Mat Powell of Trend Micro Zero Day Initiative and was publicly disclosed on September 8th, 2023. The vulnerability specifically affects the parsing of JP2 files in PDF-XChange Editor (ZDI Advisory).

The vulnerability exists within the parsing of JP2 files and stems from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a read past the end of an allocated object.
