CVE-2023-45070: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

An unauthenticated Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in the Form Maker by 10Web – Mobile-Friendly Drag & Drop Contact Form Builder WordPress plugin, affecting versions 1.15.18 and below. The vulnerability was reported on October 3, 2023, and was assigned CVE-2023-45070 (Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 base score of 6.1 (MEDIUM) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N. The issue is classified as CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') (NVD).

This vulnerability could allow malicious actors to inject malicious scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website, which would be executed when visitors access the site. The attack requires user interaction to be successful (Patchstack).

The vulnerability can be exploited by unauthenticated attackers and requires low attack complexity. However, user interaction is required for successful exploitation (NVD).

The vulnerability has been fixed in version 1.15.19 of the plugin. Users are advised to update to this version or later to resolve the security issue.
