CVE-2023-46782: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

CVE-2023-46782 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Chris Yee MomentoPress for Momento360 WordPress plugin versions 1.0.1 and below. The vulnerability was discovered by Ngô Thiên An (ancorn_ from VNPT-VCI) and was reported on September 29, 2023, with public disclosure occurring on October 26, 2023 (Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) issue that affects authenticated users with contributor or higher privileges. It has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 base score of 5.4 (Medium) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N. The vulnerability falls under the OWASP Top 10 category A3: Injection (Patchstack).

This vulnerability could allow a malicious actor to inject malicious scripts, such as redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website which will be executed when guests visit the site. The vulnerability has been fixed in version 1.0.2 of the plugin. Users are advised to update to version 1.0.2 or later to remove the vulnerability.
