CVE-2023-47658: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in the actpro Extra Product Options for WooCommerce plugin versions 3.0.3 and below. The vulnerability was disclosed on November 7, 2023, and affects authenticated users with ShopManager or higher privileges (Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 base score of 4.8 (Medium) by NIST with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N. Patchstack assigned a slightly higher CVSS score of 5.9 (Medium) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L. The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation) (NVD).

This vulnerability could allow authenticated users with Shop Manager privileges to inject malicious scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website. These injected scripts would be executed when guests visit the affected site (Patchstack).

A partial patch was released in version 3.0.4, however, no fully patched version is currently available. Patchstack has issued a virtual patch to mitigate this issue by blocking potential attacks until an official fix becomes available (Patchstack).
