CVE-2023-47779: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

The CVE-2023-47779 is an Open Redirect vulnerability affecting the Integration for Constant Contact and Contact Form 7, WPForms, Elementor, Ninja Forms WordPress plugin through version 1.1.4. The vulnerability was discovered by Le Ngoc Anh and was publicly disclosed on November 14, 2023 (WPScan, Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as a URL Redirection to Untrusted Site (CWE-601) due to insufficient validation of redirect URLs. It has received a CVSS v3.1 base score of 6.1 (MEDIUM) from NIST with a vector string of CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N, while Patchstack assigned it a score of 4.7 (MEDIUM) with vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:N/A:N (NVD).

The vulnerability could allow malicious actors to redirect users from legitimate sites to potentially malicious ones, potentially facilitating phishing incidents. The attack requires user interaction but could lead to users being tricked into visiting malicious sites through a legitimate-looking redirect (Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been fixed in version 1.1.5 of the plugin. Users are advised to update to version 1.1.5 or later to remove the vulnerability. Patchstack users can enable auto-update for vulnerable plugins (Patchstack).
