CVE-2023-50370: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in Livemesh WPBakery Page Builder Addons by Livemesh, affecting versions up to 3.5. The vulnerability was reported on September 24, 2023, and publicly disclosed on December 7, 2023. This security issue allows authenticated users with Contributor-level privileges or higher to inject malicious scripts into web pages (Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation). It received a CVSS v3.1 base score of 6.5 (Medium) from Patchstack with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L, while NIST assigned a slightly lower score of 5.4 (Medium) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N (NVD).

The vulnerability could allow malicious actors to inject harmful scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website. These injected scripts would be executed when visitors access the affected pages, potentially compromising the security and integrity of the website (Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been fixed in version 3.6 of the plugin. Users are advised to update to version 3.6 or later to remove the vulnerability. Patchstack users have the option to enable auto-updates for vulnerable plugins (Patchstack).
