CVE-2023-5638: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

The Booster for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress (versions up to and including 7.1.2) contains a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability (CVE-2023-5638) discovered in October 2023. The vulnerability exists in the 'wcj_image' shortcode due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes (NVD).

When exploited, this vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These malicious scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an affected page (NVD).

The vulnerability has been patched in version 7.1.3 of the Booster for WooCommerce plugin. Users should update to this version or later to mitigate the risk (NVD).
