CVE-2024-23341 is a HTML injection vulnerability discovered in TuiTse-TsuSin, a package designed for organizing comparative corpus of Taiwanese Chinese characters and Roman characters. The vulnerability affects versions prior to 1.3.2 and was disclosed in January 2024. The issue specifically occurs when using the tuitse_html function without properly quoting the input (GitHub Advisory).

The vulnerability is classified as a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) issue with a CVSS v3.1 base score of 6.1 (Medium), with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N. The core issue stems from improper input sanitization in the tuitse_html function, where string.format() is used instead of django.utils.html.format_html for handling HTML content (NVD).
