WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

The Better Comments WordPress plugin before version 1.5.6 contains a security vulnerability identified as CVE-2024-2402. This could potentially lead to the execution of malicious scripts in users' browsers (WPScan).

The vulnerability can be exploited through the plugin's Form Options settings. An attacker with administrative access can inject malicious scripts through the Comment Policy feature, which will then be executed when users view WordPress posts.
