WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in Micro.Company Form to Chat App WordPress plugin versions through 1.1.6. The vulnerability was discovered by Ngô Thiên An from VNPT-VCI on December 11, 2023, and was publicly disclosed on April 5, 2024, receiving the identifier CVE-2024-31258 (Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) issue, specifically an Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation vulnerability (CWE-79).
