CVE-2024-33697: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

The CF7 File Download – File Download for CF7 WordPress plugin contains a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability, identified as CVE-2024-33697. The vulnerability affects all versions up to and including 2.0. This security issue was discovered by Joshua Chan and publicly disclosed on April 26, 2024. The vulnerability specifically impacts the plugin's admin settings functionality (WPScan, Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as an Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation (CWE-79) with a CVSS 3.1 score of 5.9 (Medium).
