CVE-2024-36160: 
Adobe Experience Manager vulnerability analysis and mitigation

CVE-2024-36160 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) versions 6.5.20 and earlier. The vulnerability was discovered and disclosed on May 21, 2024, and could potentially allow attackers to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields (CVE Mitre).

The vulnerability is classified as a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability with a CVSS v3.1 score of 5.4 (Medium severity). The attack requires a low level of privileges and user interaction for successful exploitation (Adobe Security).

When successfully exploited, this vulnerability allows malicious JavaScript to be executed in a victim's browser when they browse to the page containing the vulnerable field. The vulnerability requires an attacker to have access to form fields within Adobe Experience Manager and a victim to browse to the compromised page. Currently, there are no reports of this vulnerability being exploited in the wild (CIS Advisory).
