CVE-2024-4339: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

The Prime Slider – Addons For Elementor WordPress plugin contains a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability (CVE-2024-4339) affecting all versions up to and including 3.14.3. The vulnerability exists in the General widget component due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping (NVD).

The vulnerability is classified as a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) issue, identified as CWE-79. The CVSS v3.1 base score is 5.4 (Medium) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N according to NVD's assessment. The vulnerability requires an authenticated user with contributor-level privileges or higher to exploit. The attack complexity is considered low, requiring network access and no user interaction according to Wordfence's assessment (NVD).

Users should upgrade to a version newer than 3.14.3 of the Prime Slider plugin. A patch has been released to address this vulnerability (WordPress Patch).
