CVE-2024-48023: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in RestaurantConnect, Inc Restaurant Reservations Widget through version 1.0. The vulnerability was discovered by researcher Mika and was disclosed on October 9, 2024. The issue has been assigned CVE-2024-48023 and affects the WordPress plugin Restaurant Reservations Widget (Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) issue, specifically an Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation. It has received a CVSS v3.1 base score of 7.1 (HIGH) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L. The vulnerability can be exploited without authentication, making it particularly concerning (Patchstack).
