CVE-2024-49268: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in the WordPress disconnected theme, affecting versions up to and including 1.3.0. The vulnerability was discovered on October 14, 2024, and was assigned CVE-2024-49268. This security issue was reported by researcher justakazh and published through Patchstack (Patchstack Advisory).

The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation) and has received a CVSS v3.1 base score of 6.1 (MEDIUM) from NIST with vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N. The vulnerability allows malicious actors to inject malicious scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website, which will be executed when guests visit the site.
