CVE-2024-51927: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was identified in the WordPress Rig Elements For Elementor plugin version 1.0 and below. The vulnerability was discovered by researcher Gab and was publicly disclosed on November 8, 2024. This security issue has been assigned CVE-2024-51927 and affects the Rig Elements For Elementor plugin specifically allowing DOM-Based XSS attacks (Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as an Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation (Cross-site Scripting) issue. It has received a CVSS v3.1 base score of 6.5 (Medium) with the following vector: CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L. The vulnerability requires Contributor-level privileges or higher to exploit (Patchstack).

This vulnerability could allow a malicious actor to inject malicious scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website. These injected scripts would be executed when guests visit the affected site (Patchstack).

Currently, there is no official fix available for this vulnerability. The issue affects version 1.0 and below of the Rig Elements For Elementor plugin (Patchstack).
