CVE-2024-54224: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in QuomodoSoft ElementsReady Addons for Elementor WordPress plugin, identified as CVE-2024-54224. The vulnerability affects versions through 6.4.7 and was discovered by João Pedro Soares de Alcântara. The issue was disclosed on December 5, 2024, and involves improper neutralization of input during web page generation that allows DOM-Based XSS attacks (Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation) and has received a CVSS v3.1 base score of 6.5 (MEDIUM) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L according to the vendor assessment. The vulnerability has been patched in version 6.4.8 of the ElementsReady Addons for Elementor plugin. Users are advised to update to version 6.4.8 or later to remove the vulnerability (Patchstack).
