CVE-2024-54236: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in the Ni WooCommerce Bulk Product Editor WordPress plugin, identified as CVE-2024-54236. The vulnerability affects all versions up to and including 1.4.5, and was initially reported by researcher thiennv on October 22, 2024, with public disclosure on December 5, 2024. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the plugin (WPScan, Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 base score of 7.1 (HIGH) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L. It is classified as CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation). The vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages that will execute when users perform specific actions, such as clicking on a malicious link.
