CVE-2025-22345: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

The CVE-2025-22345 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability discovered in the TS Comfort DB WordPress plugin affecting versions up to and including 2.0.7. The vulnerability was first publicly disclosed on January 3, 2025, and was identified by researcher SOPROBRO (WPScan, Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation) and has received a CVSS v3.1 base score of 7.1 (High) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L. The issue stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the plugin's code (NVD, Patchstack).

This vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages that will execute when users perform specific actions, such as clicking on a malicious link. The successful exploitation could lead to the injection of malicious scripts, unauthorized redirects, unwanted advertisements, and other malicious HTML payloads that execute when visitors access the affected site (Patchstack).

Currently, there is no official fix available for this vulnerability. However, Patchstack has issued a virtual patch to mitigate the issue by blocking potential attacks until an official fix becomes available. Website owners are advised to implement the virtual patch immediately to protect their sites (Patchstack).
