CVE-2025-2330: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

The All-in-One Addons for Elementor – WidgetKit plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (CVE-2025-2330) via the plugin's 'button+modal' widget in versions up to and including 2.5.4. The vulnerability was discovered and disclosed in July 2025, affecting WordPress installations using the WidgetKit plugin (NVD).

The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the button+modal widget component. This security flaw has received a CVSS v3.1 base score of 5.4 (MEDIUM) from NVD with vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N, while Wordfence assessed it at 6.4 (MEDIUM) with vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N (NVD).

The vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These malicious scripts will execute whenever a user accesses the compromised page, potentially leading to unauthorized data access or manipulation of user interactions (NVD).

The vulnerability has been patched in version 2.5.5 of the WidgetKit plugin. Site administrators are strongly advised to update to this version or later to protect against potential attacks.
