CVE-2025-23464: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

The WordPress Twitter News Feed plugin version 1.1.1 and earlier contains a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability, identified as CVE-2025-23464. The vulnerability was discovered by researcher SOPROBRO and was publicly disclosed on January 16, 2025, with the last update recorded on March 10, 2025 (Wordfence Intel, Patchstack Database).

The vulnerability is classified as a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) issue with a CVSS score of 6.1 (Medium) according to Wordfence, while Patchstack assigns it a slightly higher CVSS score of 7.1. The vulnerability stems from improper neutralization of input during web page generation, allowing for potential script injection (NVD Database, Patchstack Database).

The vulnerability could allow malicious actors to inject harmful scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into affected websites. These injected scripts would be executed when visitors access the compromised site (Patchstack Database).

As of March 2025, no official fix is available for this vulnerability.
