Overview

Impact

The vulnerability allows attackers to inject malicious scripts, such as redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website which will be executed when guests visit the site. This could potentially lead to the compromise of user data and website integrity (Patchstack).

Mitigation and workarounds

The vulnerability has been fixed in version 3.1.0 of the Edwiser Bridge plugin. Users are advised to update to this version or later immediately. For those unable to update immediately, Patchstack has issued a virtual patch to mitigate this issue by blocking any attacks until the update can be performed (Patchstack).
