CVE-2025-31423: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A critical Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability (CVE-2025-31423) was discovered in AncoraThemes Umberto theme versions through 1.2.8. The vulnerability was reported on March 31, 2025, by Tran Nguyen Bao Khanh from VCI - VNPT Cyber Immunity and was publicly disclosed on May 21, 2025. This vulnerability allows for PHP Object Injection in the WordPress theme (Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as CWE-502 (Deserialization of Untrusted Data) and has received a CVSS v3.1 base score of 9.8 (Critical) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H. This indicates that the vulnerability can be exploited remotely with low attack complexity, requires no privileges or user interaction, and can result in high impact across confidentiality, integrity, and availability (Patchstack).
