CVE-2025-32628: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in the WP Wham Crowdfunding for WooCommerce WordPress plugin, identified as CVE-2025-32628. The vulnerability affects versions up to and including 3.1.12, and was discovered by João Pedro Soares de Alcântara. The issue was publicly disclosed on April 10, 2025, and involves insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the plugin (WPScan, Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation) and has received varying CVSS scores from different sources. Patchstack assigned a CVSS v3.1 score of 7.1 (High) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L, while WPScan rated it at 6.1 (Medium). The vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute when users perform specific actions, such as clicking on a malicious link (NVD, Patchstack).

The vulnerability could allow malicious actors to inject malicious scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into affected websites. These injected scripts would be executed when visitors access the compromised pages, potentially compromising user data and website integrity (Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been fixed in version 3.1.13 of the Crowdfunding for WooCommerce plugin. Users are advised to update to this version or later immediately. Additionally, Patchstack has issued a virtual patch to mitigate this issue by blocking potential attacks until users can update to the fixed version (Patchstack).
