CVE-2025-3300: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

The WPMasterToolKit (WPMTK) – All in one plugin for WordPress contains a Directory Traversal vulnerability (CVE-2025-3300) affecting all versions up to and including 2.5.2. This vulnerability was discovered and disclosed on April 24, 2025 (NVD).

The vulnerability is classified as a Directory Traversal issue (CWE-22) that allows authenticated attackers with Administrator-level access to read and modify the contents of arbitrary files on the server. The vulnerability has received a CVSS v3.1 base score of 7.2 HIGH with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H (NVD).

When exploited, this vulnerability allows authenticated administrators to access and modify sensitive files on the server that may contain confidential information. This could potentially lead to unauthorized access to sensitive data and system compromise (NVD).

The vulnerability requires authentication with administrator-level access to exploit. While this limits the potential attack surface, it still presents a significant risk if administrator credentials are compromised (NVD).

The vulnerability has been patched in version 2.6.0 of the WPMasterToolKit plugin. Users are advised to update to this version or later to address the security issue (WordPress Plugin).
