CVE-2025-39594: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

CVE-2025-39594 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability discovered in the Arigato Autoresponder and Newsletter WordPress plugin. The vulnerability affects versions through 2.7.2.4 of the plugin and was disclosed on April 17, 2025. This security issue was identified by researcher Le Ngoc Anh (Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as an Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation vulnerability (CWE-79). It has received a CVSS v3.1 score of 7.1 (HIGH) with the following vector: CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L. The issue allows unauthenticated attackers to execute reflected cross-site scripting attacks against the application (NVD, Patchstack).

This vulnerability could allow malicious actors to inject malicious scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website. These injected scripts would be executed when visitors access the affected site, potentially compromising user security and website integrity (Patchstack).

Users are advised to update to version 2.7.2.5 or later of the Arigato Autoresponder and Newsletter plugin to resolve the vulnerability. For users of Patchstack, a virtual patch has been issued to mitigate this issue by blocking potential attacks until the update can be applied (Patchstack).
