CVE-2025-53278: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in WPeka WP AdCenter plugin versions through 2.6.0. The vulnerability was identified on June 27, 2025, and tracked as CVE-2025-53278. The issue stems from improper neutralization of input during web page generation, affecting users with Contributor or higher privileges (Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 base score of 6.5 (Medium) with the following vector string: CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L. The vulnerability is classified under CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation) and requires user interaction with Contributor-level privileges or higher to exploit (NVD).

The vulnerability allows malicious actors to inject malicious scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website. These injected scripts are executed when guests visit the affected site (Patchstack).
