CVE-2025-54022: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability was discovered in the Coupon Affiliates – Affiliate Plugin for WooCommerce, affecting all versions up to and including 6.4.0. The vulnerability was disclosed on July 16, 2025, and was assigned identifier CVE-2025-54022. The affected software is developed by Elliot Sowersby / RelyWP (Patchstack, NVD).

The vulnerability stems from missing or incorrect nonce validation on a function within the plugin. It has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 Base Score of 6.5 (Medium) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H. The vulnerability is classified under CWE-352 (Cross-Site Request Forgery) (Rapid7, Patchstack).

The vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to perform unauthorized actions if they can trick a site administrator into performing specific actions, such as clicking on a malicious link. This could potentially lead to unauthorized actions being executed under the privileges of the authenticated administrator (Rapid7, Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been fixed in version 6.4.1 of the plugin. Users are advised to update to version 6.4.1 or later to remove the vulnerability. Patchstack users have the option to enable auto-update for vulnerable plugins (Patchstack).
