CVE-2020-27900: 
macOS vulnerability analysis and mitigation

CVE-2020-27900 is a security vulnerability discovered in macOS Big Sur affecting NSRemoteView functionality. The issue was identified in the handling of snapshots and was fixed in macOS Big Sur 11.0.1, released on November 12, 2020. The vulnerability affects multiple Mac models including Mac Pro (2013 and later), MacBook Air (2013 and later), MacBook Pro (Late 2013 and later), Mac mini (2014 and later), iMac (2014 and later), MacBook (2015 and later), and iMac Pro (all models) (Apple Advisory).

The vulnerability stems from an issue in the handling of snapshots within NSRemoteView. The vulnerability has a CVSS v3.1 Base Score of 5.5 (MEDIUM) with vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N. The issue was resolved by implementing improved permissions logic in the system (NVD).
