CVE-2021-21087: 
Adobe ColdFusion 2016 vulnerability analysis and mitigation

Adobe ColdFusion, a platform for building web applications, was found to contain a critical vulnerability (CVE-2021-21087) affecting versions 2016 (Update 16 and earlier), 2018 (Update 10 and earlier), and 2021 (Version 2021.0.0.323925). The vulnerability was identified as an Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation (Cross-site Scripting) issue that could allow attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript code in the context of the current user (MITRE CVE, Threatpost).

The vulnerability stems from improper input validation, which occurs when the affected product does not properly validate input.
