Silverpeas Core 6.3.1 was discovered to contain a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability via the message/notification feature. The vulnerability was identified and tracked as CVE-2023-47324, with a fix released in version 6.3.2 (NVD, Rhino Labs).

The vulnerability requires an authenticated user to send a specially crafted message containing malicious JavaScript code to another user. When the recipient opens the message, the embedded JavaScript code executes in their browser context (Rhino Labs).

The vulnerability has been patched in Silverpeas Core version 6.3.2. Users are advised to upgrade to this version or later to protect against this security issue. The fix was implemented through a pull request that addresses the stored XSS vulnerability (Silverpeas Patch).
