WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

The RSS Aggregator by Feedzy – Feed to Post, Autoblogging, News & YouTube Video Feeds Aggregator plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Blind Server-Side Request Forgery (CVE-2023-6805) in versions up to and including 4.4.7. This vulnerability was discovered and disclosed on December 13, 2023, affecting the fetch_feed functionality of the plugin (CVE Mitre).

The vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor access and above to make web requests to arbitrary locations originating from the web application. The issue was initially fixed for contributor-level users in version 4.4.7 and subsequently addressed for author-level users in version 4.4.8.
