CVE-2024-26051: 
Adobe Experience Manager vulnerability analysis and mitigation

Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.19 and earlier are affected by a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability identified as CVE-2024-26051. The vulnerability was discovered by security researcher Akshay Sharma (anonymous_blackzero) and was disclosed through Adobe's private bug bounty program with HackerOne (CVE Details, Adobe Security).

The vulnerability is classified as a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could allow an attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. When a victim browses to the page containing the vulnerable field, the malicious JavaScript may be executed in their browser (CVE Details).

If successfully exploited, this vulnerability could allow attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript code in victims' browsers when they visit the affected pages. This could potentially lead to unauthorized access, data theft, or manipulation of user sessions (CIS Advisory).

There are currently no reports of this vulnerability being exploited in the wild. The vulnerability requires an attacker to have access to form fields in Adobe Experience Manager to inject malicious scripts (CIS Advisory).

Organizations are advised to update their Adobe Experience Manager installations to the latest version beyond 6.5.19. The vulnerability has been addressed in newer releases. It is recommended to implement proper input validation and apply the stable channel update provided by Adobe to vulnerable systems after appropriate testing (CIS Advisory).
