CVE-2024-26076: 
Adobe Experience Manager vulnerability analysis and mitigation

Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.19 and earlier are affected by a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could be abused by an attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. The vulnerability was discovered and disclosed on April 10, 2024, affecting Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) AEM Cloud Service (CS) and AEM 6.5.19 and earlier versions (Adobe Advisory).

The vulnerability is classified as a Cross-Site Scripting (Stored XSS) vulnerability with a CVSS v3.1 Base Score of 5.4 (Medium) and vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N. The vulnerability is identified as CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation (NVD).

When exploited, malicious JavaScript may be executed in a victim's browser when they browse to the page containing the vulnerable field. This could potentially lead to information exposure and security feature bypass (CIS Advisory).

There are currently no reports of this vulnerability being exploited in the wild (CIS Advisory).

Adobe has released security updates to address this vulnerability. Users are advised to update to the latest version of Adobe Experience Manager. The vulnerability affects AEM Cloud Service and should be updated to version 2024.3.0 or later, while AEM 6.5.19 users should upgrade to version 6.5.20.0 (NVD).
