Java vulnerability analysis and mitigation

Apache Zeppelin versions from 0.8.2 before 0.11.1 contain an Improper Encoding or Escaping of Output vulnerability (CVE-2024-31868). The vulnerability was discovered by H Ming and disclosed on April 9, 2024. The issue affects the helium module of Apache Zeppelin, allowing attackers to modify helium.json and expose XSS (Cross-site Scripting) attacks to normal users (OSS Security, NVD).
