Overview
An arbitrary file creation vulnerability (CVE-2024-8405) exists in PaperCut NG/MF that affects Windows servers with Web Print enabled. The vulnerability was discovered in September 2024 and affects PaperCut NG/MF versions up to (excluding) 23.0.9 (NVD).
Technical details
The vulnerability exists within the web-print.exe process, which can incorrectly create files that don't exist when a maliciously formed payload is provided.
