CVE-2025-3468: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

The NEX-Forms – Ultimate Form Builder – Contact forms and much more plugin for WordPress contains a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability (CVE-2025-3468) discovered on May 8, 2025. The vulnerability affects all versions up to and including 8.9.1, where authenticated attackers with Custom-level access can exploit insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the clean_html and form_fields parameters (NVD CVE Details).

The vulnerability is classified as a Cross-Site Scripting (CWE-79) issue with a CVSS v3.1 Base Score of 6.4 MEDIUM (Vector: CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N). The vulnerability stems from improper neutralization of input during web page generation in the clean_html and form_fields parameters (Wiz Analysis).

When exploited, this vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with Custom-level access to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These malicious scripts will execute whenever a user accesses the compromised page (NVD CVE Details).

Users should update to a version newer than 8.9.1 once available. Until then, it is recommended to restrict access to the Custom-level permissions and monitor for suspicious activity in the form builder parameters (Wiz Analysis).
