CVE-2025-39450: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A DOM-Based Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in Crocoblock's JetTabs WordPress plugin, identified as CVE-2025-39450. The vulnerability was initially reported on March 10, 2025, by researcher stealthcopter and was officially published on April 17, 2025. This security issue affects JetTabs versions up to 2.2.7 (Wiz, Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation) and has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 score of 6.5 (Medium), with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L. The vulnerability requires Contributor-level privileges or higher to exploit (NVD, Patchstack).

This vulnerability could allow malicious actors to inject malicious scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website. These injected scripts would be executed when visitors access the affected site (Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been patched in version 2.2.8 of the JetTabs plugin. Users are advised to update to version 2.2.8 or later to remove the vulnerability. Patchstack users can enable auto-update functionality for vulnerable plugins (Patchstack).
