WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affects CyberChimps Responsive Plus plugin versions through 3.2.2. The vulnerability was discovered and reported by Chazz Wolcott from Patchstack on May 27, 2025, and was publicly disclosed on June 17, 2025 (Patchstack Database, Wiz Database).

The vulnerability has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 Base Score of 4.3 (Medium) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N. The issue is classified as CWE-352 (Cross-Site Request Forgery) and allows Cross Site Request Forgery attacks that could enable malicious actors to force higher privileged users to execute unwanted actions under their current authentication (Patchstack Database).

The vulnerability has been assessed as having a low severity impact. If exploited, it could allow attackers to force authenticated users to perform unintended actions on the WordPress site through CSRF attacks (Patchstack Database).

The vulnerability has been fixed in version 3.2.3 of the Responsive Plus plugin. Users are advised to update to version 3.2.3 or later to remove the vulnerability. Patchstack users can enable auto-update for vulnerable plugins (Patchstack Database).
