Overview

Vulnerability in the Oracle WebLogic Server product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Core). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.1.4.0, 14.1.1.0.0 and 14.1.2.0.0. The vulnerability was discovered by IuHrm and disclosed in July 2025 (Oracle CPU, NVD).

Technical details

The vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with logon to the infrastructure where Oracle WebLogic Server executes to compromise Oracle WebLogic Server. It has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 Base Score of 4.0 (Medium) with the following vector: CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N. The vulnerability has been classified as CWE-284 (Improper Access Control) (NVD).

Impact

Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle WebLogic Server accessible data. The vulnerability only affects data integrity with no impact on confidentiality or availability (NVD).

Mitigation and workarounds

Oracle has released patches for affected versions (12.2.1.4.0, 14.1.1.0.0 and 14.1.2.0.0) as part of the July 2025 Critical Patch Update. Oracle strongly recommends that customers apply Critical Patch Update security patches as soon as possible (Oracle CPU).
